Major Refurbishment and Subsequent Disposal of an Office Building
Yewell was engaged to provide full capital allowances advisory services on the design and procurement of the refurbishment works. We undertook the capital allowances design planning; the full capital allowances analysis of the project expenditure; input to the preliminaries clauses for the building contract; and the reconciliation of the capital allowances claim to the fixed assets.
Within a year of completion of the refurbishment project, the client agreed to sell the property and we were engaged to compile the Structure and Buildings Allowances statement; provide input to the CPSE enquiry document; draft contract clauses for the sale agreement; and undertake negotiations with the purchaser’s advisers in respect of the value of the capital allowances passing on sale.
